Meet the Rock Region Team
Our team brings together a collective 58 years of extensive human resource management experience across a diverse range of industries. We specialize in employment law and compliance, recruiting, training and development, facilitation, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, preboarding/onboarding processes, benefits administration, payroll management, strategically managing layoffs, conducting thorough employee relations investigations, leave accommodation, comprehensive performance reviews, and a wide array of other HR-related functions.
Gina Smith, PHR
CEO & Principal Consultant
Gina Smith is the CEO and Principal Consultant of Rock Region Consulting, a human resource management firm dedicated to helping organizations build strong, inclusive, and compliant workplaces. With over a decade of experience, including international HR leadership, Gina brings a strategic and thoughtful approach to workforce development, employee law compliance, and organizational growth.
At Rock Region, Gina leads a team that delivers customized HR services including leadership training, DEI strategy, HR audits, policy development, and talent acquisition. The firm partners with a diverse range of clients, from mission-driven nonprofits to dynamic corporate teams, helping them navigate complex HR challenges and build resilient, people-centered cultures.
Gina holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Management. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and an experienced trainer in several leadership development frameworks including DDI and Ken Blanchard.
Rock Region Consulting is also committed to community impact and proudly partners with organizations that give back, including Food Jobs Work and Central AR Human Resource Association.
Gina is married with three children and enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, and watching cooking shows.
